After searching most of West Volusia County, we were excited to meet with Bonnie and Hal Engle to join the 4 other businesses at this property. Bonnie Engle and her husband Hal have done a lovely job in converting this house into a warm and welcoming office building.
The Jonathan Project holds an open house
On June 25, 2009 The Jonathan Project held an open house to invite friends and neighbors to come by and see our new office. More than 30 people came by and celebrated with us and prayed for the success of this ministry. Reverend Burk Parsons, Pastor of Family Ministries at Saint Andrews in Sanford prayed over Susan and Charles Bennett asking God's blessings on their lives and this vital ministry.

BCI Director holds mini seminar in Lake Mary
On August 25, 2009 Rev. Joseph Propri, the Director of the Biblical Counseling Institute of Garrettsville, OH was in town and agreed to hold a mini seminar. The Jonathan Project sponsored the event at Panera Bread in Lake Mary. Even though the announcement went out in a "short notice" fashion we had 18 people from Volusia, Seminole and Orange Counties attend. Rev. Propri spoke on the topics of how Biblical Counseling benefits the local church and how Biblical Counseling approaches marital discord and spouse abuse.
UPCOMING EVENTS
The Jonathan Project attends NANC Annual Conference in Spartanburg, SC.
Each year the National Association of Nouthetic Counselors holds its annual conference. This year The Jonathan Project will be able to attend the conference which is from October 5th the October 7th. This year's focus is titled "The Qualified Counselor: Competent and Dependent" with plenary speakers Jay Adams, James MacDonald, Randy Patten, David Powlison and John Street. We are excited about this event and will definitely update this page of our website when we return.
